BROMSGROVE athletes have the chance to get funding and a free gym membership thanks to a project run by the town’s sports and leisure centre operator, writes Louise Newton.
Everyone Active’s Sporting Champions scheme is entering its fourth year and offers high quality training facilities, financial support, exclusive opportunities for mentoring and expert advice.
All successful applicants get free access to Everyone Active’s centres across the UK.
Those accepted onto the higher tier of the programme can also get a sponsorship grant of up to £5,000 for competitions and training.
To date, Everyone Active have invested more than £500,000 in supporting more than 800 local athletes.
Everyone Active run the Bromsgrove Sport and Leisure Centre in partnership with Bromsgrove District Council.
Regional director Jon Senior said “I would encourage any athletes from Bromsgrove who are looking not just for funding but also mentoring for their future sports careers to apply for Everyone Active’s Sporting Champions Scheme.”
