AVONCROFT Museum will be transporting visitors back to Yuletides of years gone by when its annual Candlelit Christmas event takes place next Saturday, December 7, from 7pm to 10pm.
The whole venue will be illuminated and there will be constumed re-enactors demonstrating traditional Christmases from the Tudor, Victorian and post-war eras.
Entertainment includes fire juggling, Morris dancing, a Punch and Judy show, along with street performances, star gazing, close-up magic, choirs, organ music and bell-ringing.
There will be plenty of handmade items on offer at the craft fair in the Guesten Hall and rides on the ‘Santa Express’ miniature railway.
Festive fare from mulled wine and cider to roast chestnuts and mince pies will also be on offer.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £5.50 for children.
