THERE will be plenty of 1950s, 60s and 70s fun at Bromsgrove’s Artrix tomorrow when the venue hosts its Vintage Festival, writes Cameron Mowat.
The fun begins at 11am, with a special singalong version of much-loved musical Grease in the main auditorium.
People can view the high school classic for just £5 per person.
At 3pm, visitors can learn a variety of dance from the golden age of jazz, swing and lindy hop during a 45-minute session with the tutors from All About Swing. Tickets for that are £5.
The vintage vibe continues into the evening with live performances from The Strays, The Fireballs and The Delray Rockets as rock ‘n’ roll is pushed to the limit, with hits from the late 1950s and early 60s.
Those who attended the earlier sessions will be able to try out their new-found dance moves in the main theatre. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are £15 per person.
