Get on the ball in Bromsgrove as World Cup fever comes to town centre

Bromsgrove Editorial 29th May, 2018   0

BUDDING Lions and Lionesses are invited to test their ball skills at a free Bromsgrove Town Centre event.

This Saturday, June 2, a dozen football tables will line the top end of the High Street with a marquee and flags in lieu of World Cup fever.

The Council is running the match day in partnership with Goalden Events from 11am until 3pm, alongside the usual market.

Bromsgrove District Council’s centres manager Cheryl Welsh said: “Saturdays are our busiest day in Bromsgrove so it’s great that so many people can take part in this competition.

“It’s all a bit of fun, but there are prizes up for grabs – and I am looking forward to seeing the town bustling even more than usual!”
