THERE was plenty of fun for all the family at the Bromsgrove Police and Fire Open Day on Saturday.
Hundreds of visitors rode fire engines, took part in a fire trail, went in a ‘smoke house’, sat in police vehicles, met police and search and rescue dogs and much much more.
There were a host of stalls from charities and organisations, including the West Mercia Neighbourhood Watch, Libby Mae’s Little Angels, the Bromsgrove Youth Hub and Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation (CCSHF).
Rob and Maggie Underwood from CCSH offered training sessions in CPR and how to use defibrillators.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service area commander Mark Preece said the open day was a big success with a higher than previous turnout.
“The displays, stalls, and entertainment were enjoyed by visitors of all ages.
“The weather was on our side and we look forward to welcoming more people next year.”
