Free assessment available for Bromsgrove and Rubery firms wanting to use renewable energy

Bromsgrove Editorial 4th Jul, 2020   0

A FREE assessment is available to companies to help them incorporate renewable energy into their businesses, potentially saving on costs and cutting their carbon footprint.

The Low Carbon Opportunities Programme (LOCOP) has contracted energy and engineering expert Briar Associates to support Worcestershire firms to consider and install features including solar PV, geothermal heat systems, biomass boilers, air and ground source heat pumps and other technologies.

Firms are given a free 12-hour renewable energy assessment which determines their individual needs and looks at the best way to incorporate renewable technologies. Grants of up to £100,000 are also available.

LOCOP is managed by Worcestershire County Council and receives European Regional Development Funding.

In the past three years it has provided technical advice and support to over 80 businesses and £822,000 in grant funding for both innovation and renewables.

Worcestershire businesses with less than 250 employees and a turnover of less than 50million Euros are eligible for the scheme.

Visit business-central.co.uk/locop or call 01905 677888 for more on the scheme.
