A FORMER Thomas Cook agent has decided to go it alone after setting up a travel business from her Bromsgrove home.
Kerry Deakin has joined ‘Travel Counsellors’, a company which specialises in bespoke holidays and has more than 1,600 travel agents globally who all run their own home-based franchise.
Using Travel Counsellors technology, Kerry can search thousands of travel options for her customers and create tailor-made travel experiences based on their personal preferences.
She has described her business as a ‘highly personal service’ which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Kerry, who worked at Thomas Cook for 18 years, said: “I am delighted to launch my business and support the people of Bromsgrove with corporate and leisure travel services.
“Being available during the evenings and weekends means my customers can speak to me at a time that suits them, and running my own business from home means I can take the time to get to know them personally.”
Travel Counsellors won Best Independent Travel Agency in the 2018 British Travel Awards, and Growing Business of the Year in the 2018 Amazon Growing Business Awards.
