A FORMER South Bromsgrove High School student is set to lose her locks to provide real hair wigs to children who have lost theirs through treatment for cancer and other conditions.

As well as donating more than 12 inches of hair Sophie Evans, who is now a teacher in Middleton Cheney, is raising funds for the Little Princess Trust which creates the wigs.

She said: “Having the big hair cut is scary and I would love an incentive of raising money to meet my £500 target donation alongside my hair.”

She said the Little Princess Trust was a great charity doing brilliant things for young people who had lost their hair.

“A real hair wig can give a child so much confidence, and I hope I can help.”

She has appealed for Standard readers’ help either by donating to her fund-raising page – justgiving.com/fundraising/sophielouise2695 – or by sharing her story on social media.
