First Primrose Hospice Lantern Walk at Hanbury Hall raises £4,000

THE PRIMROSE Hospice’s first ever Lantern Walk has raised almost £4,000 for the charity, writes Ryan Smith.

Around 250 took part in the one-mile stroll around the historic hall’s gardens.

During the walk there was a pause for remembrance led by Primrose chaplain Keith Judson where members could hang memory hearts featuring messages to their lost loved ones.

After the walk the Primrose Choir sang several songs.

Primrose Hospice fund-raiser Anna Wilson said it was an incredibly poignant event which was very well supported by the community.

“Seeing groups of families and friends carrying the lanterns and taking time to remember someone special was moving.”
