BROMSGROVE’S Butcher’s Block raised £360 for good causes at its first anniversary event on Saturday.

The cash will now be split between the Primrose Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Society.

The team said they wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who went along and supported the event.

The entirely female-run business gave away its popular Lils’ Baps from its street food stand in return for charity donations all day and there was also a raffle to win a £30 meat hamper.

The team organised the event because they wanted to give something back to the local community, adding without people’s support they would not be where they were now.

The butchers has recently been nominated for ‘Best Independent Butcher’ in the upcoming Birmingham Awards.
