Firework-free night returns to Avoncroft Museum this November

Bromsgrove Editorial 1st Nov, 2019   0

AVONCROFT Museum’s much-loved Bonfire Night returns by popular demand on Tuesday, November 5.

The event, held at the museum, is firework-free and therefore an ideal night for anyone who doesn’t enjoy the traditional loud bangs.

Sparklers are allowed but residents will be asked to keep them far away from others attending, especially small children.

Craft-making will start at 4.30pm before the bonfire lighting at 6.30pm.

Organiser Sarah Bowyer said: “Join us in marking the anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot where Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

“Visitors will be able to make suitable Guy Fawkes figurines to burn on the bonfire.

“Appropriate bonfire food will also be available including bangers, the sausage variety, and other goodies.”

Admission is £3.50 but anyone aged under three-years-old will be let in for free.
