Firefighters issue plea on social media to 'inconsiderate' parkers

Bromsgrove Editorial 8th May, 2017   0

DRIVERS across Bromsgrove and Rubery are being urged to think about how they park their cars by the fire service to ensure emergency services vehicles can get through.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service tweeted this picture over the weekend with the message: ‘Visiting friends & family this weekend. Please think about how you park.

“Blocking 999 routes could cost lives.”

Firefighters used the hashtag #EverySecondCounts

The post follows stories featured in The Standard over the last few weeks and letters on our letters page about inconsiderate parking by motorists in residential streets.
