Tristan Harris 27th May, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016

A DISTRESSED cat had to be rescued from a clothing bank in Bromsgrove in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).

It is unknown how the came to be in the container on Burcot Lane but it is thought, because of how difficult it is to gain access, he was put inside by someone.

A fire crew had to use a hydraulic spreader to force open the door and get him out and he was then returned to his owner.

The RSPCA was also notified.
