THE ORGANISERS of The Jam @ The Van in Rubery on Saturday wants to thank everyone who supported the event after £335 was generated to help the homeless.

The festive fund-raiser was held for the third year running at the sandwich bar in the lay-by on the A38.

The cash will now go to the Sunday Breakfast Club operated in Birmingham by Angela Sheridan-Hunt Ash to ensure those living on the streets get a warm meal.

Angela, who runs The Jam @ the Van with sandwich van owner Nick Husband, said: “The amount raised was absolutely phenomenal – it will keep us going until March.

“Being a self-funding organisation, it’s essential we get money like this for the project.”
