TRIBUTES have been paid to the man who died in the two-car crash in Northfield yesterday.

Kieron Mason, who is from Northfield, was driving a Volkswagen Polo which was involved in the collision with a taxi in Frankley Lane around 1am.

The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family, who are being supported by specialist police officers, said: “Kieron was a really happy, care-free lad who was the life and soul of any party.

“He was devoted to his family and was a dearly loved son, brother, uncle and grandson, who will be sorely missed.”

Two passengers from the Polo were taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious.

The taxi driver and his passenger were also taken to hospital but their injuries were not life-threatening.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, has any dash cam footage of it or has any information should call police on 101.
