THE FAMILY of Wayne Coventry who was murdered on Monday night at a property in Humphrey Avenue have paid tribute to ‘a kind and gentle loving man who adored his three children with all his heart’.

In a statement they said they were ‘devastated and heartbroken beyond belief’ by the 36-year-old’s death.

“Wayne lived in and out of Bromsgrove all his life as he had family living there, including his older brother Sean and his long term partner Manda Marks, their son and his three children – who Wayne adored.

“Our lovable rogue with his shining smile has been taken from us.

“Not only have the children lost their dad and a mother and father lost their son he also leaves his brothers and sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends behind.”

The family added they wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of their hearts for all the kind messages of love and support.

“As a community everyone is totally shell-shocked and heartbroken by his death.

“Everyone who knew Wayne loved him and had many delightful memories of him and his cheeky smile – he would always make you laugh, even when you didn’t want to.

“He will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him – he was taken from us too soon.”

Wayne’s cousin Stacie Jane also wrote on Facebook: “Sadly on this fateful day our family was torn apart, my beloved cousin Wayne Coventry gained his angel wings, the pain is unreal for everyone.”

She spoke of the heartache and disbelief following the incident.

“No matter what he could always make you smile with his jokes and cheeky smile, a loving caring gentle man who was taken away way too soon and loved by so many.

“My heart goes out to all my family near and far at this difficult and heartbreaking time.

“Fly high beautiful angel you will never be forgotten.”
