TRIVIA whizzes can test their knowledge at an online family quiz bingo session and raise much-needed funds for Bromsgrove’s Millfields First School at the same time.

The event, which takes place via Facebook live at 3pm tomorrow, has been organised by the chair of the school’s Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) Kelly Anne Hill.

The school was due to hold its Summer Fayre tomorrow but it had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The event is usually Millfields’ biggest fund-raiser of the year and, with the Christmas Fayre – the next biggest fund-raiser – also looking unlikelym Kelly ‘had to do something’.

She has been working hard over the past few weeks doing a #25pushupchallenge and posting on the school’s events Facebook page, so far raising £700.

“I would love it if we could have as many people as possible taking part in our quiz to raise more.”

The funds will be put towards Millfields’ drive to buy sensory equipment to create a chill-out area in school which would help children deal with anxieties they have due to missing school, their friends and coping with the current restrictions of lockdown.

The Quiz Bingo is at 3pm tomorrow – which would have been the time the summer fayre would have taken place.

Entry is through a £4 per family donation to the school’s fund-raising page.

Prizes include a bottle of fizz, chocolate, a goody bag and medals.
