A WHISKY distillery just over 30 miles from Redditch and Bromsgrove has triumphed at the 2019 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) and the Great Taste Awards, writes Abi Cook.
Such has been its success that the distillery, located near Shipston on Stour, has become a local attraction, offering tours and tastings for its 30,000 annual visitors.
Judges at the Great Taste Awards granted the distillery’s Founder’s Choice Single Malt Whisky three stars, the only whisky to receive such a high accolade putting drams north of the border in the shade.
The brand also received two stars for its Single Malt Whisky and Cotswolds Dry Gin.
The inaugural Cotswolds Distillery Single Malt whisky was launched in 2017 and since the company’s spirits, made from local barly, have gone from strength to strength.
