A DRUG driver high on cocaine and cannabis was pulled over in Romsley in the early hours of Monday morning, November 30.
Police, despite the foggy weather, said they noticed ‘the distinct smell of cannabis’ coming from the vehicle.
The driver, a man, had no licence, insurance and tested positive for the Class A and Class B drugs.
He was arrested at the scene but was released under investigation.
A forensic analysis of his blood sample will now take place.
Possession of cocaine can lead to an unlimited fine, up to seven years in prison or both.
While possession of cannabis can lead to an unlimited fine, up to five years in prison or both.
