Bromsgrove Editorial 13th Jan, 2019

HEALTHY food is on the menu in Catshill as part of a scheme to help families make better meal choices, writes Bethany Lewis.

A drop-in taster workshop is being held between 10.30am and 2.30pm at the Tulip Centre, based at Catshill First School, next Wednesday, January 23.

Participants will receive dietary advice and have the chance to cook a meal with a nutritionist.

There will be numerous of other stations at the event looking at budgeting, packed lunches and sugar content.

If the workshops a success it could lead to courses being introduced in partnership with schools.

Coun Margaret Sherrey has urged families to take part in the workshop amidst shocking NHS figures which show that nationwide, one in five children are overweight when they begin school.
