VEHICLE owners across Bromsgrove district have been warned to be on their guard after five were broken into in the space of 48 hours in Hollywood and Wythall.

Between 5.30pm on Sunday (October 2) and 8am on Monday (October 3) a car in Hollywood Drive was entered by thieves who stole a pair of Rayban sunglasses, a projector and several packets of cigarettes.

There were no signs of forced entry and no damage was caused to the vehicle.

At some point between 5pm on Monday and 7am on Tuesday, raiders forced the double doors at the back of a van while it was parked outside a property in Littleshaw Lane, Wythall. Once inside, they stole a variety of tools. It was parked

Then between 10pm on Sunday and 8.30am on Monday, a vehicle was entered while it was on the driveway of a home in Dark Lane, Hollywood. The would-be thieves ransacked their way through the contents but nothing was taken on that occasion.

Between 8pm on Sunday and 7.50pm on Monday, thieves got into an unlocked car – on the driveway of a property in Hollywood Drive. Again an untidy search was made but nothing was taken.

And from 11pm on Sunday to 7am on Monday, a car parked outside a property on Alcester Road, Hollywood, was targeted. Again the inside of the vehicle was ransacked but nothing was taken.

Following the incidents, police have warned owners to ensure their vehicles are locked and, where possible, alarmed.

Witnesses or anyone with any information to any of the incidents should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
