DRIVERS in Rednal and Cofton Hackett are being warned to be on their guard after incidents of car crime in the area over the weekend, writes Kate Duffy.
At 4.45pm on Saturday a white Fiat 500, with the partial registration number ‘PLO’, was stolen from a driveway on Segbourne Road, Rubery.
It was taken by two white men wearing balaclavas who drove the car off towards Leasowes.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, at 3.46am, a man was seen trying car door handles in Shadow Close, Cofton Hackett.
The suspect was in his late teens to early 20s and had dark hair and a beard.
He wore navy jogging bottoms, a coat and a beanie hat with white stripe.
Witnesses to the stolen Fiat or anyone with any information about vehicle crime in Cofton Hackett and Rednal is urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
