THE CYCLIST injured in yesterday’s crash in Rashwood was taken to Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital.

The man, who was in his 40s, sustained facial injuries in the collision, which happened at 2.20pm on the Worcester Road near the Robin Hood pub and involved the bike and a car.

The rider suffered bruising to his right eye, had a possible fractured nose and lost teeth in the incident.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said the cyclist was wearing a helmet at the time, adding it could have been a lot worse if he had not wore one.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101.
