A TENACIOUS team from Bromsgrove’s Cupitt Jeweller will be swapping sterling silver for smelly swamps when they take on a 10k mud run, writes Evie Hartwell.

The four members of staff, along with four friends, will take on the Devil Mud Run in Cheltenham next Saturday, September 7, to raise funds for the Basement Project.

The charity helps young people under 25 who are homeless or facing homelessness.

The hardcore course features over 30 obstacles and takes participants through woods, swamps, countryside and conquering hellish hills before attempting Devil’s Playground.

The owner of Cupitt Jeweller Asa Cupitt, who has taken part in the event three times, said: “This will prove a great team working experience whilst raising money for a good cause.”

Customers should be aware the shop will be closed on September 7 due to the event.
