Crowds flock to see Avoncroft Art Society's annual exhibition

THE ANNUAL Avoncroft Arts Society (AAS) exhibition was held at the end of last month, writes Annie Lucas.

The event at the Avoncroft Community Centre was officially opened by AAS chairman Tony Turpin and guest speaker Michele Ford.

More than 200 people attended the exhibition which has been going for 73 years.

It featured photography, textiles, pottery and paintings, all created by local artists.

Avoncroft Arts Society has accrued more than 200 members and is hoping to welcome even more to the group.
