THE ANNUAL Bromsgrove Court Leet Fair Day and Elizabethan Street Market to commemorate the town being given King John’s Royal Charter in 1199 will take place on Saturday, June 23.
The colourful and traditional procession will begin at Housman Hall at 10.30am and then Court members will gather at the Housman Statue at 11am for the assizes.
The bread, leather and ale will be tested to ensure it is of high enough quality for the people of Bromsgrove.
There will also be a host of stalls mostly operated by charities and local community organisations.
Representatives will dress in traditional costumes.
This celebration of Bromsgrove’s proud history is a free event.
