THE WORCESTERSHIRE County Council cabinet member responsible for adult social care and officers from the department are at Bromsgrove Market today (Friday) to talk to people about making decisions for their future, writes Liam Masters.

Coun Hardman said: “Our summer engagement events have so far proved to be great to speak to Worcestershire’s residents about staying independent for as long as possible.”

“Noticing small changes in your health and activity, such as struggling to cut your own toenails, is really important.

“These can be signs of reducing mobility and are linked to ageing.”

The events give another opportunity for local people to come along and find out how they can stay independent for longer.

They can also help establish people’s future wishes regarding friends and family.

The roadshow will then travel to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre on July 12, and to Tesco Extra, Redditch, between 10am and 2pm on July 26..
