CAR PARKING charges will be suspended from tomorrow in Bromsgrove for the duration of the Coronavirus lockdown.
The move by the district council is being made to support small businesses.
In line with Government guidance the council is urging people to only make essential trips to centres and to shop local too.
Charges will be suspended from November 6 until December 2 and during this time Churchfields multi-storey will be closed.
Bromsgrove District Council leader Coun Karen May said: “Our independent traders are particularly hit by lockdown restrictions and we want to encourage shoppers to use them, and our centres, as part of their essential trips for shopping.
“However we urge everyone to stay at home where possible and adhere to Government guidance.”
