A CAR ended up on its roof after colliding with another one and rolling several times before hitting a central barrier on the M42 this morning (Monday).
The incident, on the northbound carriageway between junctions 2 (Alvechurch) and 3 (Redditch), led to delays for more than an hour for commuters.
The fire service were called at 8.24am and had to remove the roof of one of the vehicles to get a patient out.
An ambulance crew and paramedic area support officer are now on scene.
Two lanes are currently closed with drivers experiencing long queues and delays, and the Highways Agency says it expects normal traffic conditions to resume between 10.30am and 11.30am.
One motorist who contacted The Standard said: “We came to a stop and then we were passed by an ambulance and two police cars going up the hard shoulder, then a fire engine passed us.
“We’ve been sitting here ever since.
“It’s really frustrating.”
