A CHRISTMAS card designed by a pupil from Alvechurch C of E Middle School has been judged to be the best in the Midlands in an art competition.
Saski Moncrieffe, ten, fought off 2,000 other entries nationwide to win the title, along with £50 in vouchers for her school, two framed certificates and some art supplies.
The judges chose Saski’s design because of the meaningful quote she included that ‘Christmas is all about family’.
Saski’s card was described by the judges as ‘a wonderful way to wish people a happy Christmas’.
The contest was organised by Hays Education Birmingham.
Jade Linford, Hays’ business manager, said: “It was lovely to have the opportunity to present Saski with her framed card entry and art hamper at a Christmas assembly at Alvechurch Middle School.
“We all felt that her entry truly summed up the essence of Christmas being all about spending time together.”
