Care Force's Bromsgrove tea party for Nutrition and Hydration Week postponed over COVID-19 fears

AN AFTERNOON tea due to be held in Bromsgrove to celebrate Nutrition and Hydration Week has been postponed following concerns about coronavirus.

Care Force Ltd had organised the event at Amphlett Hall on Thursday, March 19 to highlight and educate olderĀ people on the important role food and drink plays in maintaining health and wellbeing in health and social care.

But after much consideration it decided to put the event back.

A spokesperson for the company said: “This is a result of its duty of care and social responsibility to protect the most vulnerable and wider Bromsgrove community from any possible exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

“However, Care Force stresses that this is a postponement and not cancellation of the fundraising Tea Party event.”

The company will publicise a new date when it feels the time is right to reschedule the event.

The event was free but donations were going to be requested for the firm’s 2020 nominated local charity Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest.

It hopes a good sum will be made for the charity at the rescheduled event.

Care Force Ltd said it would like to thank all those who had offered their support for March 19 and hopes to provide a new date again soon.
