Car wash for Lickey Scout group hailed a success after raising more than £400

THE CAR wash held in Cofton Hackett on Saturday raised more than £400 for the 1st Lickey Scout Group.

The youngsers, from the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers groups, made 51 cars sparkle over the course of the three-hour event at Howdens.

A Scout Group spokesperson said: “This is a fantastic amount and things like this prepares our young people with skills for life.

“Thanks to the group executive organisers and all who supported this successful event.

“Howdens offered amazing support and supplied drinks for the volunteers for the duration of the morning.”
