Canal Boat Crew heading to Bromsgrove, Alvechurch, Droitwich and Worcester for jamming sessions with the locals

THE CANAL Boat Crew will be heading to several pubs in Worcestershire for jamming sessions with the locals.

The group of happy, friendly musicians and singers will be wandering the waterways in the Midlands on a hired boat throughout September.

Each evening will be a relaxed, all inclusive session of acoustic music in the various venues they visit.

Everybody is welcome to go along and enjoy themselves by singing, playing or just listening.

Although strictly an acoustic night, small amps for bass instruments are fine.

The eight people on board are not a band as such and most of them will not have met each other until they cast off.

The events, which are free of charge, start around 8.30pm each evening.

The first will be at the Boat and Railway in Stoke Works on Saturday, September 15, before the group of players heads to Droitwich’s Railway Inn on the Sunday, September 16.

On September 17 they will go to the Cardinal’s Hat in Worcester and on September 18 the Bridge Inn in Tibberton.

The Talbot Inn in Droitwich provides the backdrop for September 19, the Navigation in Stoke Prior on September 20 and the Weighbridge in Alvechurch on September 21 before the barge heads to Warwickshire and then back to the Crown Inn in Alvechurch on September 28.
