Can you give 'left on the shelf' Portia a forever home?

A PRETTY cat who came into the Bromsgrove Blue Cross with a group of other moggies after their owners could no longer look after them is hoping to find a new home soon after all the others were snapped up.

Portia has now been at the centre in Wildmoor Lane for 100 days and has been overlooked by potential owners.

The nine-year-old black and white feline had a skin condition caused by fleas but that has now been treated and she is in tip-top cat condition and desperate for new owners.

Nicola Halfpenny, Blue Cross Animal Welfare Assistant at Bromsgrove said: “We all adore Portia and really don’t understand why no-one is interested in taking her home.

“While she can be a little unsure of strangers at first, she is very affectionate and loves nothing more than curling up on a favourite lap for a snooze.”

Portia is looking for a home as the only family pet and would like a garden to explore. She will not mind being left alone for part of the day and could be rehomed with older children who will give her space.
