Campaign launched to 'Get Catshill Growing'

Bromsgrove Editorial 13th Jun, 2018   0

A DRIVE to ‘get Catshill growing’ with a view to entering the ‘in Bloom’ competitions long-term has been launched.

Worcestershire County Councillor Shirley Webb has used some of her divisional funding for the area’s schools to grow some plants so they can be planted out and about in the area.

The Spar in Catshill has also contributed to the cost of cleaning and will have volunteers helping the children with the planting out.

Coun Webb, Spar representatives and Chadsgrove School pupils met up on Monday for the first part of the project.

Coun Webb said: “The children have already started planting at school and will be making some pots for the Village Hall.

“The Bromsgrove District Council place team has also been fantastic in clearing the areas.”

Catshill First and Middle Schools are also involved and will be making pots for the library and their school areas.
