BROMSGROVE’S very own ‘talking’ dog is set to appear on a new pet rehoming programme on Channel 4 tonight (Tuesday).
Taska will be sent to the Blue Cross rehoming centre in Thirsk tomorrow (Wednesday) but first, she will appear on Animal Rescue Live: Supervet Special tonight.
The homeless Husky was dubbed ‘the UK’s most intelligent dog’ after being filmed telling her foster carer she does not like the rain when asked whether she wants to go for a walk.
The show, which will be on every night from 8pm to 9pm until Friday, will see ‘Supervet’ Professor Noel Fitzpatrick with a variety of different animals.
In an interview on the Channel 4 website, he said: “I’m very upset with the way the world is at the moment, constantly generating bad news.
“I wanted to inspire families, particularly children, that love being represented by the love between an animal and a human, could in fact put a very nice bandage around the ills of the world.
“For me, the premise of the show is about how I can bring love in the shape of a bundle of joy of an animal into a family.”
