Bromsgrove’s free summer ‘Bands in the Park’ programme continues this month

AFTER three brilliant performances in May, Bromsgrove’s free summer ‘Bands in the Park’ programme continues into June with a special extended choir’s event.

People can enjoy performances every Sunday by Sauce City Jazz Men on Sunday, June 3, Gloucester Excelsior Band on June 10, ‘through the decades’ by City of Coventry Brass on June 17 and an extended Choirs Event to celebrate local talent in the town on the 24.

The choir’s event will see performances by Primrose Choir, Redditch Gospel Choir, Artrix Songstars, Rock Choir, Music in Motion and Sing and Tonic.

The concerts will be at the Jubilee Bandstand in Sanders Park, on Kidderminster Road in Bromsgrove, and will run from 2.30pm until 4.30pm, with the Choirs Event on the 24th starting an hour earlier at 1.30pm.

This month marks the second ‘through the decades’ performances celebrating 50 years of Sanders Park that will culminate in a grand finale on September 16.

Bring along chairs, tables and picnics and enjoy the music.
