BROMSGROVE’S Clifford House Fostering managed to donate more than 40 items of food to those in need over the festive season.

Staff at the Worcester Road agency filled box after box for The Basement Project.

The emergency parcels were then distributed to young people aged 25 who could not afford to feed themselves or their families.

Naomi Ebanks-Simpson, manager at Clifford House, said: “We were looking for a local charity which shared our visions and values. The Basement Project is exactly that.

“It’s important to give something back and make a difference to the families, and particularly children, who are struggling to get by.”

Donations included a variety of long-life food items, drinks, Christmas treats, toiletries, household products and baby supplies.
