BROMSGROVE man Ben O’Brien has won a place in the Celebrity Superhero Tri event as part of Team Fiona Cranswick, writes Yixuan Wu.
The triathlon, at Dorney Lake in Windsor tomorrow (Saturday), will see Ben take on a 3k cycle while team captain Fiona Cranswick will do the 150m swim and fellow Everyday Superhero competition winner Jess Barnes from West Sussex will be doing the 1km push/run. They will compete against 30 other Celebrity Superhero teams.
The Celebrity Superhero Tri forms part of the Superhero Series, the only sports series dedicated to the UK’s 13.3million people with disabilities and long-term injuries.
It invites them to go solo or unite with family and friends to take on unique challenges with as much or as little time and support as they need.
