THE ORGANISERS of this year’s Beermageddon Festival of heavy metal which took place over the bank holiday weekend have hailed the event a roaring success, writes Kate Duffy.
This was the eighth year the event had been held in Bromsgrove and it was a complete sell-out again.
Festival organiser Jim Beerman said: “It has been an amazing weekend in a beautiful part of the country.
“Stoke Prior is our spiritual home and we really appreciate the support we receive from the local residents.”
The Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club enjoyed a mixture of new and old heavy metal talent from across the UK and Europe.
It kicked off with a pre-festival on Thursday, before officially opening on Friday.
Despite the record-breaking temperatures, fans dressed up, played games and danced the weekend away.
Beermageddon returns to Stoke Prior next year from August 28 to August 30 next year. Visit www.beermageddon.co.uk.
