YOUNGSTERS from across Bromsgrove will be participating in an Easter art competition in conjunction with the area’s branch of AgeUK.
The artwork created by the pupils at Catshill First School and Nursery, Sidemoor Pre-school and Perryfields Nursery will feature in window displays in several of the shops across North Worcestershire.
Children from St Wulstan’s Primary School in Stourport have also been taking part.
The ‘Easter Creations’ include bonnets, bunnies and other items and it will be up to shoppers visiting the charity’s stores in Catshill, Bromsgrove and Stourport to vote for their favourites.
The work went on display on Monday and voting will close on March 27 so the winners can be announced before the children break up for the summer holidays.
Prizes have been specially crafted by AgeUK’s Men in Sheds group.
The contest was also aimed at showing the importance of inter-generational connections.
Georgia Plant, Catshill First School and Nursery’s head, said the children were really excited as they loved making things and would enjoy seeing them in the charity’s shop windows.
