Bromsgrove Street Theatre under way with more fun this week

BROMSGROVE District Council’s Street Theatre which tours the district and entertains residents with a variety of acts got under way at Wythall Park on Thursday, writes Charlotte Ingleby.

Performing were Bruce Airhead who had been on Britain’s Got Talent and the Stupid Stunt Show.

Next up is Ben and Bullock Time Trouble and The Bubble Wizard on Tuesday, July 31, at Catshill Meadow.

On Wednesday, August 1, at Sanders Park, Jason Maverick and Une Femme Exposee will take centre stage.




On Thursday, August 2, at Romsley Playing Fields, Bruce Airhead and Jason Maverick will be delighting the crowds.

And at the Rec, outside Asda, on August 8 will be Circo Rum Ba Ba -The Crow House and Bell and Bullock – Cabin Fever.


The final show – at Rubery’s St Chad’s Park on August 9 – will feature Ben and Bullock – Cabin Fever and The Felicity Footloose Show. All performances run from 11am to 3pm

Coun Peter Whittaker, whose portfolio covers leisure services, said: “Street Theatre gets more popular each year and the acts look set to wow the crowds with daredevil tricks, magic and plenty of comedy.”

Visitors are welcome to bring chairs, tables and picnics to enjoy during the show. All events will also have fun children’s activities to enjoy.
