Bromsgrove rugby fan tackles 'The Sinnerman' on ITV's The Chase

A RUGBY-mad Bromsgrove man and three others took on British Quiz Champion Paul Sinha when he appeared on ITV’s The Chase last Friday.

Alex Nock, who works for Virgin Media, is chairman of Five Ways OE RFC and coaches the ladies’ team.

He was joined by contestants Steve, Alisha and Mo in their battle with ‘The Sinnerman’.

He said if the foursome won the cash he would spend his share on following the British Lions.

Alex said: “I’ve always enjoyed quizzes and have applied for a few things but never really got anywhere before.”

Alex was invited for an audition day and then received the call to say he had made it onto the show.

“It was great to meet the others – we spent a few hours together on the day of filming so got to know quite a bit about each other.

“We had a wide range of knowledge between us and I think we gelled really well as a team.”

He added the day went by fast and was a bit of a blur.

“After the show aired on Friday my phone was ringing off the hook and I’ve had lots of messages from people I know who saw me on there.”
