BROMSGROVE Police thanked everyone who shared the CCTV appeal following the serious assault at a town pub.

Officers released the image, saying the person may have crucial information about the attack on Saturday night at Ye Olde Black Cross.

And they have now confirmed they have spoken to the person pictured.

Any other witnesses or anyone with any information who has not spoken to police can call 101.

Bromsgrove’s town centre pubs and bars – like others up and down the country – reopened on Saturday for the first time since March when the Government introduced its Coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

Police praised the majority of people who were out yesterday and last night for their responsible behaviour and the way social distancing was observed.
