Bromsgrove Police hope ticketing will make drivers think twice about parking on pavements

A DRIVER has been fined for parking illegally in Barnsley Hall Drive, blocking a pavement.

Officers from Bromsgrove Police said the vehicle was causing an obstruction and the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) was responding to complaints.

The SNT tried to resolve the issue a few years ago by talking to those working at nearby businesses a few years ago in a bid to educate them about the dangers of parking on pavements.

PC Kelso said: “Blocking a footpath forcing pedestrians in the road won’t be tolerated.”
