A BROMSGROVE woman has cleaned up by winning another award thanks to her natural soap business The Wrinkly Elephant, writes Eve Watson.
Lisa Turner won bronze in the hard bar soap category for her ‘Simply Lemongrass’ soap at the eighth annual ‘Free From’ Skincare Awards.
The awards were launched in 2012 to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products which use natural ingredients and are ‘free from’ potentially harmful or unethical ones.
Lisa founded her business less than a year ago and is delighted to have added this award to her string of other recent accolades.
She said she was absolutely thrilled one of her handcrafted soaps had been chosen from hundreds of wonderful natural and ‘free from’ soaps to win the bronze award.
“I am passionate about natural ingredients and reducing our plastic use.”
Each contestant was subjected to a rigorous month long assessment by experienced skincare testers.
The soap received praise for the way it cleaned, removed ground-in dirt from gardening, the way it ‘smelt lovely’ and the way it left hands feeling soft.
