A LOCAL care home has received an early Christmas present from Bromsgrove Men in Sheds as a thank you for supporting the ‘Shed Share’ sponsorship scheme.
A few months ago, the group asked residents at Care UK’s Chandler Court to think of a gift they would like.
Resident Beryl Ellis suggested a new bench for the garden and so the shedders got to work on ‘Beryl’s Love Seat’.
Jo Hughes, marketing executive at Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest, said: “We are thrilled to have the sponsorship of Chandler Court and wanted to say thank you for their support this year.
“It was amazing to drop off ‘Beryl’s Love Seat’ and to her reaction when we unveiled it was unforgettable.”
