A BROMSGROVE man will run the Paris Marathon in memory of his sister and to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Simon Alger is undertaking the 26.2-mile challenge to remember Rachel Jones who died in July after a battle with the illness.

Simon, who will line up on the streets of the French capital on April 14, said: “Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money right now for Cancer Research UK.

“There’s no time to lose.”

He had set himself a target of £2,000 but has so far had £2,493.43 pledged.
