AN APPEAL has been launched for a Bromsgrove business or organisation to donate a Christmas tree for the town’s Life After Stroke Centre.
Every year a Christmas tree is donated and takes pride of place in The Stroke Association’s reception but this year the charity is calling on the community to help find a tree.
The centre, the regional headquarters for the Stroke Association, provides life-changing services for stroke survivors and their families throughout the region.
Claire Weaver, the charity’s regional fund-raising manager said: “We have been really lucky every year since the centre opened, and local businesses have donated beautiful trees to help staff, volunteers and stroke survivors get into the Christmas spirit.
“However this year, the businesses that usually donate to us are unable to help.
“We would love if a local organisation could help us out this year by donating a tree and spreading some festive cheer.”
The Stroke Association will also hold its annual Christmas fayre at the centre on December 7.
The popular event will have festive refreshments, loads of stalls, a Santa’s grotto and much more – the only thing missing is a tree.
Any businesses who can help with the Christmas tree plea can call in at the Life After Stroke Centre or phone Claire Weaver on 01527 903903.
