A BROMSGROVE woman who took up soap making just two years ago, turned her hobby into a business and has won a top award, writes Annie Lucas.

Lisa Turner, who launched The Wrinkly Elephant Company, was presented with a #WOW badge on March 22 by renowned businesswoman Jacqueline Gold CBE as a result of her success as a female entrepreneur.

The competition aims to recognise female businesswomen who demonstrate the potential for growth and elevation in their chosen industry.

Lisa quit her job in education to make the vegan handmade soaps her firm produces after discovering her idea was both lucrative and enjoyable.

Her soaps have received a lot of positive feedback from family and friends and she has been praised for her use of natural ingredients.
